Mery Christmas!

          on Christmas Eve, everyone opens family presents, Santa presents are for Christmas. everyone received a huge box, on the eve of Christmas. (of course, there were other presents made by the kids.)

                                              inside were large, warm Comforters.
       the four girls received red and blue comforters, the two boys, green and blue.

 after family presents, we nestled in our beds with our new blanket's. ready to wake up first and wake everyone else up at the crack of dawn. I was first to wake.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

another Christmas comes and goes. this Christmas, we had snow. only an inch, but its still snow.

                            me with my stocking, and my new Christmas pj's received mysteriously
on the porch last night.
                         from Nana and grandpa, I received a book called the Arabian nights.
                  right after I Finnish this post I'll sit down on the red couch and enjoy some quiet reading.
                        this year, we played Elf on the shelf with Jenessa's white monkey. it went every night to the north pole to tell Santa if Jessa had been good. and she would come back every morning for Jessa to find.

A coming new year... and more Snow!

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
as you know, my birthday is in January, and that's when the snow and Ice storms spring up around west plains. the best sledding conditions: 3 inches snow, 1 inch of ice covering. with the ice and snow, you're sled will speed down any hill at break neck speed.
that pond over there is Blue heron*, as we've named it, is all iced over. when our pond gets icy, we put on our rubber boots and skate all over it.
you wouldn't expect it, but with rubber boots, you can  go far.
it is a lot of fun to zoom all the way to the other side, slipping sliding, and in some cases, falling.
*we call it Blue heron Because in spring and summer, great blue herons come over to the ponds around us. they don't particularly go there more then the other ponds. that was were we first saw one though.
 dads car is parked in the barn, so that it won't get all iced up. this what it looks like when no one has stepped out the door, after, it looks all trampled, not as white.
                                       in a 'white winter wonder land.'
                    Skating,sledding,snow fights, snow cream, snowmen and chocolate.
the Barn is Beautifully decorated, even without lights. in the early morning, it is wonderful to come out in the morning and be the first to touch the sparkling White and silver.
             I am looking forward to another Iced and Snowy January for my birthday.
Sunset and Sunrise
     my sister Ducki is a great sister. she takes lots of pictures. some of my favorite ones are of sunsets or sunrises. the ones with a black sill out against a evening sky, look very colorful and bright.
a light stream of purple as the sun heads for the hills.
                                         I think this one is just perfect with that bright orange
                                         sky and those hilly clouds and black stuck up trees.
Welcome
